Where is a new update for the MG100 software?
You can download a new version of the software and user's guide from our FTP site:
ftp://ftp.darvision.com/pub/mg100
Does MG100's SDK allow to take images (BMP or JPG) while recording MPEG video?
You cannot take images while recording, but you can do it during playback.
Can I pause recording of MPEG?
You can pause recording. The recording stops during pause and restarts when
you push pause button for the second time.
Will you modify the M-Editor software for the MG100? I want to edit the captured clips.
The development of the M-Editor has been stopped. To edit the captured clips,
you should use another powerful software.
Will you develop MG100 driver for Windows XP OS?
MG100 development has been finished, but we will design the software with
Windows XP OS support. Unfortunately, we can't say exactly when it will be done.
However, for Windows XP OS you can use the last software version (v.137).
This driver version properly works in Windows XP OS well, but during the software
installation, you will get the message "This driver has not been registered in
Microsoft Company..." Precede the installation process despite this message.
This version (v. 137) properly works in Windows XP OS.
Are there MG100 drivers for UNIX?
You can download the MG100 drivers for UNIX from our FTP site:
ftp://ftp.darvision.com/pub/mg100
The MG100 stops encoding during video noise (5-10 seconds of snow).
I need to encode this video noise.
It is impossible to encode video noise, because there is no video signal when it
"snows". Encoding is impossible without video signal. If you need free space
between video fragments of a file, use the device, which can improve your video
signal (for example, Darim's M-Filter). MG100's software stops encoding when
video signal disappears and restarts encoding when video signal appears again.
Is it possible to use two or more different MG100 cards in the same computer?
MG100 driver can't work with several cards. You can use two or more
(up to four) MG100 boards in the same computer using Darim's Spider
software. The Spider software can capture only video stream without
audio stream from the MG100 card. So, it is not possible to use more
than one MG100 cards in the same computer with MG100's driver.
